An elite warrior unit fielded by a feudal clan during Japan’s medieval Sengoku (“Warring States”) period was known as the aka-zonae (“red-colored armor”) for the unified red coloring of its armor. Liberal use of red as a watch motif representing strength, and overlapping with the image established by brand colors of G-SHOCK as red and black, expresses unparalleled strength extending through the ages.
